This bill amends the requirements for the installation of electric vehicle (EV) supply equipment and Make-Ready parking spaces in new multiple dwellings with five or more units, and in new or expanded parking lots or garages. It requires developers or owners to prepare a certain percentage of parking spaces as Make-Ready spaces and install EV supply equipment in a phased approach. The bill also provides exceptions for small retailers and single-family homes, and allows parking spaces with EV supply equipment to count as more than one space for meeting minimum parking requirements. The bill directs the Site Improvement Advisory Board and the State Uniform Construction Code to update their standards to align with the new requirements.
