This bill enacts the Online Revenues and Expenditures Transparency Act, which requires the development of a single, searchable budget database website accessible to the public at no cost. The website will include annual state expenditures or funding actions, bond debt payments, local aid to cities and towns, annual revenues, annual bonded indebtedness, links to state audits or reports, and other relevant information. The bill sets a deadline of January 1, 2025, for the Director of the Office for Technology, in collaboration with the Director of the Budget, to develop the website. The website must retain information for at least 10 years and be updated regularly as new data becomes available.
