This bill amends the Social Services Law to require Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) to reimburse durable medical equipment (DME) and complex rehabilitation technology providers at no less than 100% of the Medicaid fee schedule for the same service or item. This is intended to provide parity for DME providers and ensure they are adequately compensated by MCOs, which manage Medicaid benefits. The bill will take effect 90 days after becoming law, but the amendments to the law will be repealed along with the underlying law section.
