This bill establishes an educational program within the New York State Department of Education to prevent anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and discrimination based on religion, race, sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression. The program will be overseen by the Commissioner of Education and developed in collaboration with an outside expert organization. The program will create age-appropriate curriculum resources, lesson plans, and instructional materials for students, parents, and school personnel to educate them on identifying and preventing such bias and discrimination. The materials will be made publicly available in multiple languages on the Department's website.
