This bill amends the New York Labor Law to include bonus compensation in the definition of "wages" and to make all wages non-forfeitable once the amount is known or can be reasonably determined. Specifically, the bill states that a bonus will be considered "wages" if the formula for determining the bonus is available to the employer or if the bonus amount has been declared by the employer. It also adds a new section to the Labor Law stating that all wages, including bonuses, shall be non-forfeitable once the amount is known or can be reasonably ascertained.
