This bill amends the Public Health Service Act to authorize the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to establish a public education campaign to increase oral health literacy and awareness. The campaign will focus on evidence-based strategies for oral health education, including prevention of oral diseases, and will target specific populations like children, pregnant women, the elderly, and ethnic/racial minority groups in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner. The bill requires the Secretary to measure the outcomes and effectiveness of the campaign and submit a report to Congress within 3 years. It also authorizes $750,000 in funding for the campaign for each of the fiscal years 2024 through 2028.
