This bill amends the Public Health Service Act to authorize a public education campaign across all relevant programs of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to increase oral health literacy and awareness. The campaign will focus on evidence-based strategies for educating the public, including specific populations such as children, pregnant women, the elderly, and ethnic and racial minority groups, on the prevention of oral diseases like early childhood and other cavities, gum disease, and oral cancer. The bill requires the Secretary to measure the outcomes and effectiveness of the campaign and submit a report to Congress on its results. The bill authorizes $750,000 in annual funding for the campaign from fiscal years 2023 to 2027.
