This bill relates to persons eligible to hunt with a crossbow. Current law requires the natural resource commission to adopt a rule permitting a crossbow to be used only by individuals with disabilities who are physically incapable of using a bow and arrow under the conditions in which a bow and arrow is permitted. A person must submit an application signed by the person’s physician declaring that the individual is not physically able to use a bow and arrow. The bill allows the person’s physical therapist licensed under Code chapter 148A to sign the declaration on the application.
