The bill also prohibits the retention of identifying information of individuals granted access and provides for civil liability for violations. The bill exempts bona fide news or public interest broadcasts, websites, reports, or events, as well as internet service providers, search engines, and cloud service providers that are not responsible for the creation of the content.
