This bill amends the New York Election Law to prohibit corporations from making contributions, loans, loan guarantees, or other security for loans to candidates or political committees, except for contributions to political committees that are corporations or for non-candidate expenditures. The bill also requires loans made to candidates or political committees, other than constituted committees, to be repaid by the date of the primary, special, or general election, or the loan will be considered a contribution. This does not apply to independent expenditure committees or non-candidate expenditures.
