This bill amends Pennsylvania's ethics and financial disclosure laws to prohibit certain public officials and employees, as well as their spouses, from soliciting or accepting transportation, lodging, hospitality, cash, gifts, or anything of economic value from individuals or organizations that have certain financial or regulatory relationships with the official's or employee's governmental body. The bill provides several exceptions to this prohibition, such as for gifts from friends and family, academic awards, and certain training and educational events. The bill also lowers the threshold for reporting gifts on the statement of financial interests from $250 to $50 per year and requires the reporting of any payment or reimbursement for actual expenses for transportation, lodging, hospitality, or gifts exceeding $0 per year.
