This bill amends the Senior Care Options (SCO) program to extend the time frame within which new SCO enrollees must be evaluated for complex care needs. Under the current law, new enrollees must be evaluated within 90 days of enrollment, but this bill allows for a longer time frame to accommodate the shift to passive enrollment into the SCO program. The bill requires the SCO to evaluate all its enrollees for complex care needs within 90 days of initial enrollment, as well as on an annual basis or as requested by the enrollee's primary care physician or the enrollee themselves. If an enrollee is determined to have complex care needs, the enrollee may receive the ongoing services of a primary care team, which will develop and monitor a plan of care for the enrollee.
