This bill requires the Department of Professional Licensure to establish a system to record and publicly notify about non-compliance with regulations related to cutting, welding, and hot work processes, including an online database and an automated notification system to alert property owners, the public, and insurance companies. The Department of Fire Services and other public safety agencies will be required to regularly notify the Department of Professional Licensure about any violations, such as failure to obtain proper hot work training certification, failure to perform hot work in accordance with regulations, or knowingly allowing someone without proper certification to perform hot work.
