This bill amends Chapter 22 of the General Laws to require the Department of Fire Services, in cooperation with the Division of Occupational Licensure and code enforcement officers, to collect data on written notices of code violations and fines related to violations or non-compliance with Chapter 148, including the failure to maintain hot work training certification, performing hot work without certification, and failing to comply with hot work permit requirements. The bill also requires the Department to develop, operate, and maintain a publicly accessible database containing this information and an automated notification system to alert affected property owners and insurance companies.
