This bill aims to prevent the illegal trafficking of firearms by introducing several key provisions. Firstly, it allows law enforcement and investigative officials to access the names and addresses of licensed firearm owners for enforcement purposes. Secondly, it requires firearm licensees to obtain a signed declaration from purchasers, renters, or lessees stating that they have not acquired a firearm or large capacity weapon in the previous 30 days, or that they are exempt from this restriction.
