This bill establishes the Online Advertising Act, which aims to further regulate advertising on the Internet. The key provisions include: 1. Requiring third-party advertising networks to provide clear and conspicuous notice about their data collection and use practices, including the types of information collected, how it will be used, and procedures for opting out of online preference marketing and revoking consent for merging personally identifiable information with non-personally identifiable information. 2. Authorizing the Attorney General to bring enforcement actions against third-party advertising networks that violate the provisions of the Act, with the potential for statutory penalties and increased penalties for patterns of violations.
