This bill proposes to prohibit billboard advertisements of non-prescription marijuana, also known as cannabis. Specifically, it amends existing law to (1) add a prohibition on advertising, marketing, and branding of non-prescription marijuana by means of billboards, and (2) require that any advertising, marketing, and branding by means of television, radio, internet, or print publication be restricted to audiences where at least 85% are expected to be 21 years of age or older, as determined by audience data. Additionally, the bill requires that any advertising, marketing, and branding of non-prescription marijuana in physical locations restrict entry to those 21 years of age or older, and that such advertising include a conspicuous warning.
