This bill aims to increase the involvement of non-custodial parents in childcare. The key provisions are: 1. When the court orders child support, it must determine if childcare services are necessary and whether the non-custodial parent is available, capable, and willing to provide all or part of the childcare. If so, the court must include provisions in the order allowing the non-custodial parent to provide such childcare, while not authorizing the non-custodial parent to enter the custodial parent's home for this purpose. 2. A change in the non-custodial parent's availability to provide childcare shall be considered a material and substantial change in circumstances, allowing for modification of the existing judgment. The bill applies to both divorce cases under Chapter 208, Section 28, and cases involving children born out of wedlock under Chapter 209C, Section 9 of the Massachusetts General Laws.
