This bill requires the State 911 Department to create and publish on its website a statewide disability indicator form that a person can complete and submit to notify primary and regional public safety answering points (PSAPs) of certain disabilities. The form must be written in clear, simple language, accessible to those with visual disabilities, and translated into other languages spoken by at least 5% of the state's population. The form allows individuals to indicate various types of disabilities, such as mobility, hearing, speech, and cognitive impairments, as well as the need for life-sustaining equipment, translation services, or awareness of potential first responder triggers. The department must review and amend the form annually in consultation with organizations representing the impaired communities.
