This bill amends Chapter 18C of the General Laws to require the juvenile court department of the Massachusetts trial court to provide quarterly reports on key performance measures in child abuse and neglect cases to the Office of the Child Advocate. These measures include the number of children in the court's jurisdiction, cases of subsequent abuse or neglect, reasons for achieving or not achieving permanency, number of judges per case, service of process, and various timelines related to the court process. The Office of the Child Advocate may also request the data to be categorized by age, gender, race, ethnicity, case type, and court location.
