This bill amends the General Laws of Massachusetts to require the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to collect information on the military status of individuals who are the subject of credible allegations of domestic abuse or child abuse and neglect, and to share that information with the appropriate military authorities. The bill also requires DCF to enter into a memorandum of understanding with the military family advocacy program at local military installations to establish procedures for reporting and investigating cases involving military personnel, while maintaining confidentiality requirements under state and federal law.
