This bill aims to improve municipal access to general existing housing data. It requires the Department to collect and make available to municipalities, state agencies, and other state and regional public entities, a centralized, machine-readable, and screen reader-compatible database with detailed information on new developments with subsidized housing units, as well as existing developments with at least one subsidized housing unit. The required data includes the total number of units, the number of units with long-term use restrictions based on income, the term and end date of such restrictions, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, the square footage, and the location of the development. The database is to be regularly maintained and updated, with each datum updated at least annually for each municipality.
