This bill, the Lake Winnibigoshish Land Exchange Act of 2024, authorizes a land exchange between the United States Forest Service and Big Winnie Land and Timber, LLC (BWLT) in the Chippewa National Forest in Minnesota. The bill allows the Forest Service to accept an offer from BWLT to convey approximately 36.7 acres of non-Federal land in exchange for approximately 17.5 acres of Federal land, with the option for a cash equalization payment if the Federal land is appraised to be more valuable. The acquired non-Federal land will be added to and managed as part of the Chippewa National Forest.
