This bill authorizes the assessor of the town of Brookhaven, in Suffolk County, New York, to accept a real property tax exemption application from De Bethesda Eglise for the 2020 and 2021 general taxes. If the application is accepted and the organization would otherwise be entitled to the exemption, the assessor can make the appropriate corrections to the tax rolls. The bill also allows the applicable governing body or tax department to refund any taxes paid and cancel any unpaid taxes, fines, penalties, liens, or interest.
