This bill amends the Town Law to require the election of fire district commissioners to take place on the same date and at the same polling place as the election of school board members for the municipality. The bill specifies that the method and manner of submitting, preparing, and providing ballots, using voting machines, qualifying voters, correcting registers, conducting the election, canvassing the results, and filing returns shall be the same as or as close as practical to the procedures used for the school board election, as determined by the county board of elections. The fire district will bear the costs of the ballots and any additional poll workers necessary for the fire district election.
