This bill, the La Paz County Solar Energy and Job Creation Act, authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to convey approximately 3,400 acres of federal land managed by the Bureau of Land Management to La Paz County, Arizona, for the purpose of developing solar energy projects. The conveyance is subject to valid existing rights and other necessary terms and conditions, and the federal land must be appraised and sold at fair market value. The bill also requires the county to make efforts to avoid disturbing and minimize impacts on tribal cultural artifacts, and allows for minor boundary adjustments and corrections to the map. The proceeds from the sale of the land will be deposited in the Federal Land Disposal Account and used in accordance with the Federal Land Transaction Facilitation Act.
