This bill, the La Paz County Solar Energy and Job Creation Act, directs the Secretary of the Interior to convey approximately 3,400 acres of federal land managed by the Bureau of Land Management in Arizona to La Paz County, Arizona. The conveyance would be subject to valid existing rights and any terms and conditions the Secretary deems necessary, excluding land with significant cultural, environmental, wildlife, or recreational resources. The county would be required to pay the fair market value of the land and all costs related to the conveyance, and would need to make good faith efforts to avoid and minimize impacts on tribal cultural artifacts. The proceeds from the sale would be deposited into the Federal Land Disposal Account to be used in accordance with the Federal Land Transaction Facilitation Act.
