This bill proposes to improve access to diabetes outpatient self-management training services under Medicare. Specifically, it would: 1. Require the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) to test a model for providing virtual, remote diabetes self-management training services to Medicare beneficiaries to evaluate its impact on health outcomes and cost savings. The goal of the bill is to improve access to and utilization of these important self-management services, which can help diabetes patients better manage their condition and prevent complications.
