This bill, the Sloan Canyon Conservation and Lateral Pipeline Act, amends the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area Act to adjust the boundary of the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area, increasing the acreage from 48,438 to 57,728 acres. The bill also authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to grant the Southern Nevada Water Authority a temporary and permanent right-of-way for water pipeline infrastructure, powerlines, facilities, and access roads outside the boundaries of the Conservation Area. The bill preserves existing utility transmission corridors and rights-of-way within the expanded Conservation Area, allowing for the operation, maintenance, repair, or replacement of authorized utility facilities, as well as the establishment of new utility facility rights-of-way within existing designated transportation and utility corridors.
