This bill, the Sloan Canyon Conservation and Lateral Pipeline Act, would amend the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area Act to adjust the boundary of the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area, increasing the acreage from 48,438 to 57,728 acres. It would also allow the Secretary of the Interior to grant a right-of-way to the Southern Nevada Water Authority for the construction and operation of a water transmission pipeline and related facilities, outside the boundaries of the Conservation Area. The bill includes provisions to protect the Conservation Area's resources and preserve existing utility corridors and rights-of-way within the expanded area.
