This bill, titled the "Traveling with Dignity Act," amends the civil rights law and the public buildings law to require that commercial places of public amusement (with a maximum occupancy of 2,500 or more) and state-owned buildings open to the public install and maintain at least one adult changing accommodation, which is a height-adjustable adult changing table for use by people with disabilities who need help with diapering. The bill provides a phased implementation timeline, requiring new construction and renovations to comply by 2025, and all other existing covered facilities to comply by 2032. The commissioner of the Office of General Services, in collaboration with the Chief Disability Officer, will promulgate regulations to effectuate the requirements of the bill.
