This bill amends the Michigan Vehicle Code to add a definition for "vulnerable roadway user," which includes pedestrians, individuals using roller skates, inline skates, non-motorized scooters or skateboards, wheelchairs, individuals riding or driving equine-drawn carriages, individuals operating or riding vulnerable transportation devices, and U.S. Postal Service employees or contractors operating vehicles on rural postal routes. The bill also includes provisions for the bill to take effect 90 days after it is enacted, and it ties the effective date to the enactment of several other related bills.
