This bill aims to amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to waive certain naturalization requirements for United States nationals. Specifically, it would allow U.S. nationals who have continuously resided in any U.S. state or outlying possession since birth to be naturalized without having to meet the residency and physical presence requirements, as well as the education and English language testing requirements. The bill also provides the Secretary of Homeland Security with discretion to waive personal interviews and reduce naturalization application fees for U.S. nationals seeking citizenship under this provision. Additionally, the bill expands the eligibility for children of U.S. nationals to apply for citizenship if they are present and reside in an outlying U.S. possession.
