This bill amends Florida Statute 487.081 to specify circumstances under which products liability actions, including failure to warn, cannot be brought against agricultural employers, distributors, dealers, or applicators. The exemptions apply only to pesticides and do not apply if the entity exercised substantial control over the product's design, testing, manufacturing, or labeling; altered or modified the product; or handled, used, or applied the product inconsistently with the label. The bill also includes an exception if the product manufacturer is not subject to the jurisdiction of Florida. The bill takes effect on July 1, 2024.
