This bill amends Tennessee law to waive tuition, maintenance fees, student activity fees, and required registration or matriculation fees for dependent children of Tennessee residents who are veterans with a 100% permanent total disability due to a service-connected injury. To be eligible, the dependent child must be under 23 years of age, have the necessary qualifications for admission to a public institution of higher education in Tennessee, and maintain active pursuit of a specific degree or certificate program. The bill applies to the 2024-2025 academic year and each year thereafter.
