This bill amends the existing law on medical marijuana treatment centers in Florida. It revises the packaging and labeling requirements for medical marijuana edibles, including specifying that edible receptacles must be plain, opaque, and white without depictions of the product or images, except for the medical marijuana treatment center's logo and the marijuana universal symbol. The edible receptacle must also include the identity labeling statement, declaration of net quantity of contents, nutrition facts, allergens, ingredients, storage instructions, expiration date, and warnings to keep away from children and pets. The bill also specifies that edibles may not contain more than 200 milligrams of tetrahydrocannabinol, and a single serving portion may not exceed 10 milligrams of tetrahydrocannabinol, with a potency variance of no greater than 15 percent. The bill sets an effective date of July 1, 2024.
