This bill amends Florida's existing medical marijuana law to revise the packaging and labeling requirements for edible medical marijuana products. The key changes include: 1) requiring edible receptacles to be plain, opaque, and white, with only the medical marijuana treatment center's logo, the marijuana universal symbol, the edible's statement of identity, and net quantity of contents allowed on the packaging; 2) mandating that edible packaging include nutrition facts, allergens, ingredients, storage instructions, expiration date, and warnings to keep away from children and pets; and 3) specifying that edibles must be marked with the marijuana universal symbol where practical. The bill also sets an effective date of July 1, 2024.
