This bill amends the State Technology Law to require state agencies, to the extent practicable, to conform their websites created or modified after the effective date of this section to the most current version of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (specifically level AA) adopted by the World Wide Web Consortium for accessibility, by January 1, 2027. If a state agency cannot comply, it must post a written progress report on its website describing its efforts and the impediments preventing compliance, and update the report annually. The Office of Information Technology Services is required to issue guidance and training for state agencies on compliance with these accessibility guidelines.
