This bill amends the State Technology Law to require state agencies, to the extent practicable, to conform their websites created or modified after the effective date of this section to the most current version of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (specifically level AA) adopted by the World Wide Web Consortium for accessibility, by January 1, 2027. If a state agency cannot comply, it must publicly post a written progress report describing the steps taken, impediments, and estimated timeline for compliance. The Office of Information Technology Services is also required to provide guidance and training to state agencies on complying with these accessibility guidelines.
