This bill prohibits the sale and use of certain gas-powered leaf blowers in New Jersey, with phased-in restrictions. Furthermore, it provides a tax credit for businesses that purchase an electric leaf blower to replace a gas-powered one, covering up to 50% of the cost of the electric blower and its necessary accessories, with the credit applicable for five years and carry-forward options available. The bill defines "gas-powered leaf blower" as one using gasoline or a gasoline-oil blend, and "residential area" based on municipal zoning.
