This bill directs the New Jersey Attorney General, in consultation with the New Jersey Education and Law Enforcement Working Group, to establish a program that allows the public to anonymously report information concerning unsafe, potentially harmful, dangerous, violent, or criminal activities in schools or the threat of those activities. The program must include various methods of anonymous reporting, such as a telephone tip line and a mobile application, and ensure the confidentiality of the reporting party's identity. The Attorney General must also provide training to relevant entities, establish guidelines for students, and disseminate program awareness materials to all public and nonpublic schools in the state. Additionally, the Attorney General must annually prepare and submit a report on the program, including the number of reports, dates and means of reporting, instances of misuse, and a summary of the outcomes and actions taken.
