This bill proposes to create the Division of Policy, Planning, and Innovation at the Green Mountain Care Board (GMCB) to engage in health care reform initiatives and develop a comprehensive state plan to improve timely access to affordable, high-quality, and equitable health care services. The Division will collaborate with other state agencies and health care providers to oversee the integration of existing state health care plans, develop alternative financing models for providers, address the high cost of prescription drugs, and respond to workforce shortages. The bill also establishes the Primary Care Council and Patient Advisory Council to provide input and recommendations to the Division.
