This bill exempts the purchase of oral hygiene products, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, tooth powders, mouthwash, dental floss, and other similar products, from the payment of sales tax in the state of New York. The bill amends the existing tax law to add a new paragraph providing this sales tax exemption for oral hygiene products. The bill would take effect immediately and apply to taxable years beginning on or after January 1st of the year following the date it becomes law.
