This bill amends Tennessee's election laws to prohibit individuals holding an elected local government office from simultaneously holding another elected office in the state. It also expands an existing prohibition on candidates qualifying or being nominated for more than one state or county constitutional office to include any elected office in the state. The bill provides an exception for offices in a political party's state executive committee and allows individuals holding multiple offices as of the effective date to continue doing so until their terms expire.
