This bill amends Tennessee Code Annotated to prohibit individuals holding elected local government offices from simultaneously holding another elected office in the state. It also expands the existing prohibition on candidates qualifying or being nominated for more than one state or county constitutional office to include any elected office in the state. Individuals holding multiple offices as of the effective date of this act may continue doing so until their terms expire. The bill does not apply to offices in a political party's state executive committee.
