This bill, the Farm and Food Cybersecurity Act of 2024, directs the Secretary of Agriculture to periodically assess cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities in the agriculture and food critical infrastructure sector, and provide recommendations to enhance their security and resilience. The bill also requires the Secretary to conduct an annual cross-sector simulation exercise relating to a food-related emergency or disruption, involving various stakeholders and sectors, to assess preparedness, identify gaps, and develop best practices for improving food security and resilience. The bill authorizes $1 million per year from 2024 to 2028 to carry out these activities.
