This bill adds the Classical Learning Test (CLT) as an acceptable assessment for various financial aid, high school graduation, and college admission requirements in Tennessee. Specifically, it allows students to use CLT scores in place of ACT or SAT scores to qualify for certain state financial aid opportunities, meet high school graduation requirements, and be considered for admission to public colleges and universities in the state. The bill also requires the state board of education and Tennessee higher education commission to establish concordant scores between the CLT and ACT/SAT exams.
