This bill, the Gold Star and Surviving Spouse Career Services Act, amends Title 38 of the United States Code to make certain spouses eligible for services under the Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program. Specifically, it expands the definition of "eligible person" to include spouses described in Section 4101(5) of Title 38, as well as the spouses of any person who died while a member of the Armed Forces. This allows these spouses to receive employment assistance and other career-related services typically reserved for eligible veterans.
