This bill, the Gold Star and Surviving Spouse Career Services Act, amends Title 38 of the United States Code to make certain spouses eligible for services under the Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program. Specifically, the bill expands the definition of "eligible person" to include spouses described in Section 4101(5) of Title 38, as well as spouses of any person who died while a member of the Armed Forces. This allows these spouses to access the employment assistance and other services provided through the Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program, which was previously limited to eligible veterans.
