This bill requires agencies and public employers to provide written notification to an employee when their personnel records have been requested under the state's freedom of information law. The bill also gives the employee the ability to inspect their personnel file or any other document referencing them as part of the information request, which does not restrict an employee's existing rights to inspect their personnel file under a collective bargaining agreement or other law.
